Graduate Mechanical Engineer : Training Programme (GME) is a 12 months course which can be pursued by Graduates in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture who want to make a career in Marine Engineering.
The course is designed to provide knowledge, skills and attitude required to start aspirants’ career on ship as Marine engineer at the support level. Admission to this course is given on the basis of academic performance and scores obtained in entrance test and personal interview conducted by the institutes. Given below are the details of the colleges that offer GME course and its admission process.
Graduate Marine Engineering – GME (1 year)
FOUR (4) PHASES SELECTION PROCEDURE
1. WRITTEN TESTS ONLINE / OFFLINE
2. INTERVIEW
3. PSYCHOMETRIC TESTS
4. MEDICAL TESTS
Entrance test will be in Multiple Choice Objective type format. Candidates can expect questions related to their Academics, General English etc.
Shortlisted Candidates will be
called for personal interview, including a Psychometric Test to assess
their suitability for a career at sea.
Selected candidates will be sent
for Medical Examination.
Final selection will be based on the report
obtained after the medical examination.
